- Adjust walking times, avoid the hours of highest temperatures and always have water on hand for your dog to drink.
- Keep your dog hydrated, always with access to water and shady places.
- Try to generate air currents indoors. Keep curtains or blinds closed on the side of the house most exposed to the sun and open windows on the shady side.
- Encourage your dog to swim in the pool, ponds, walk under the sprinkler in the garden or get wet with the hose.
- Regularly brush long-haired dogs to remove loose hair.
- Avoid enclosed areas. NEVER LEAVE THE DOG IN THE CAR.
